Subject: [SBM Criminal Law Section Council] Training Seminar for Attorneys:Representing Prisoners at Parole Revocation Hearings

The Prisons & Corrections Section of the State Bar is sponsoring a seminar in Lansing on Saturday, June 4th, for attorneys interested in representing clients at parole revocation hearings.   Parole revocations are not the usual administrative proceeding, and differ considerably from criminal proceedings.

The seminar will included presenters with detailed information on the parole revocation process, arraignment, appointment of counsel, and hearing preparation; pertinent statutes, rules and jurisprudence from the perspective of an attorney defending against parole revocations; and an overview of the parole revocation process from the perspective of an Administrative Law Judge.
