Re: Page Optimization on P&F

Yes, I think it would.  But we can't make daily adjustments/fine tuning for these things.  I'll ask Micah about when it makes sense to do that.  I suspect that Tully got just as many.  You just never knew because you were only made aware of the screened calls.

Given that we are getting 10 "wrong" phone calls for every call from an actual potential client, would it make sense to drop funding for the really generic terms such as "employment lawyer" and "labor lawyer?"   I would think its better to get less clicks overall if we were at least getting the right clicks.

Hi Marcy,

Sounds good!  I'd focus on "military attorneys", as that is a well-searched word and PF.com is currently ranging between #7 and #10 on the first page.  If we can grow a few more spots on that one, you should some pretty good free traffic coming in.

I've also attached the keyword reports for the FEL site.  We have made recent changes (since our last conference call), and have really focused the budget and spend on the federal employment law specific terms.  As you can see from the reports, some of the terms can get very expensive quickly.  For example, "federal employment lawyer" starts at $17.00 per click to simply get on the first page of results.  The top spot is much more than that for each click.  Most of the other relative words range from $15 to $20 just to get the bottom spot on the first page of paid search.

Thanks Again!

Hi Micah, when I don't have a blog to post on the websites, I'll update the P&F site with internal links. (I just did some on the home page).  If you give me the words we are trying to increase on the pages, I'll do those too.  Thanks for all your hard work!
