Re: ICO US v Wacker- DNA expert

Oh, sorry, I see that I have not yet received the DNA data for this case yet, I was thinking of another USMC case that I am also working on.  So I will need to receive that discovery before I can start the review.  Presumably my discovery request has been tendered to USACIL, or other lab that did the testing, and the DNA data will be forthcoming soon.

Thanks,

Norah

Dr. Rudin,

You were approved as a defense DNA consultant per the attached pdf named "CA endors DNA expert Rudin."  Billing matters should be directed through Capt Evan Day (evan.s.day@usmc.mil)m, the prosecutor.  His telephone is Comm: (858) 577-1862.

In the meantime, I've attached some DNA test documents that were tendered to us in discovery (more will be emailed).  I recommend reading the Article 32 summary report and charge sheet so that you have an idea of what this case is about before reading the DNA evidence.  Please let me know when you are ready for more evidence.  Thank you.

Gentlemen,

Please find attached the CA's endorsement approving funding for Dr. Norah Rudin as a defense expert-consultant. Should additional funding be necessary, please submit an additional request with specific justification.

In order to expedite the logistical arrangements (DTS, etc.) if Dr. Rudin is granted as a witness in the future, I am willing to have tentative travel arrangements made for her now, as long as it is understood by all parties and Dr. Rudin that making travel arrangements does not commit any additional funding by the government unless and until the additional funding is approved by the Convening Authority.

Very Respectfully,
Captain Evan S. Day
