Ethical Issues in Family Law (2 Hour Course)
This 2 hour co-presentation will go into depth of all the ethical issues and concerns an attorney should be aware of. Often times representation of a client is not as cut and dry as one would hope. There are a lot of gray areas that pop up that attorneys do not know how to properly address. How do you handle a situation that may occur between your client and another attorney in the office? What are the ethical stipulations if you form a relationship with a client after representation? How do you properly decline representation if a client is asking you to lie for them? If a Judge doesn't allow you out of the case, how do you proceed? All of these questions and more will be discussed using the ABA Model Rules as a guiding light.
