Thanks very much for letting me know Neal. I think our trial will be in June or July, so I may not get to see SSGT Wuterich's trial after all.
I'm still interested in identifying from the US Army or USMC someone who is an expert in urban close quarter battle tactics (such as an instructor), who could comment on why and how grenades are used in room clearance. Do you know someone who might be able to help me with that?
David
David McLure David, The trial of SSgt Wuterich was today continued until 12 April 2011. Provided for your planning purposes. There is an appellate issue currently under consideration and the parties chose to delay the trial so that it could be resolved rather than become a post-trial appellate issue. Hope you made it out of the jungle! Cheers, Neal

Sir, I'm holidaying in a Sri Lankan jungle at the moment, so phone coverage is very limited. I'll try to coordinate a time to call you soonest.
