Gentlemen, I just spoke with Doug Hatch, the MOJO. He tells me that he intends to prefer charges against GySgt Bell next week and will be shooting for a mid-October 32 date. He says the biological remains of the fetus were sent to USACIL for testing and are expected to be complete in mid-October. Despite not having the USACIL results, he intends to prefer a charge of "rape of a child." I visited GySgt Bell today. He is doing ok. He still desires that the MPO be lifted so that he may talk to his wife. He told me, however, that his wife has the CO's phone number and would probably be calling the CO to ask for the MPO to be lifted.
