Many lawyers are starting their own firms, either because of personal choice or economic realities. But starting a new firm comes with a number of ethical pitfalls even the most seasoned attorney may not foresee. This program is intended to provide practical guidance on ethical issues encountered when starting a law firm, including when leaving a law firm to start a new practice.
Issues covered will include:
- Establishing and operating a trust account and conflict check system
- Working for others while jump-starting your practice

- Procuring insurance
