Ms. Sanchez: As I type you this email I am staring out
into a very dark street, it’s been 2 ½ months now without streetlights. I
am wondering about the potential danger that lurks out there and hoping and
praying that our neighborhood stays safe for one more dark night…hoping
that the kids laughing, playing and riding their bikes don’t get hit by a
car that doesn’t see them or that the people walking their dogs
don’t get hit by a car. I’m hoping that a criminal doesn’t
take advantage of the darkened streets to commit a burglary or worse a violent
crime against some innocent people. And why all these concerns? One reason: Because the City of Is that really fair to all of us?
It’s time to put your differences aside and resolve this immediately. Is this financial power struggle between the City of The residents deserve an answer NOW as to
when the new streetlights will be installed. Please don’t give us
anymore excuses on who shall pay for it and when. Just install our new lights. Sincerely, From: Esther Sanchez

Reuben Roshon Dear Rancho del Oro residents, Thank you much for your e-mails regarding this very critical
issue. We have been working jointly with your HOA board to come up with a
solution on how we can help replace the neighborhood's street
lights. I am very anxious to avoid any possible public safety
issues. I care very much about our children and their safety. This evening, the city manager addressed this issue at the
city council meeting. Although he talked during a period of time on
the calendar entitled, "public comments on items not on the agenda,"
we wanted to make sure you knew that we are all working on a solution. Again, thank you for all your e-mails. I will be
following up with our city manager and city attorney to ensure this problem is
taken care of. Best regards, Esther 760-435-3057 |
