Haytham,
I hope all is well. I have attached information I received from a client this morning pertaining to a criminal matter in Falls Church, VA. The gentleman, Mr. Dhiya Al-Saadawi, is an active community member and a dear friend to the community. This is a sad, and at the same time an alarming case.
Mr. Saadawi has provided me with a written statement, which I have attached. In short, he parked his car in front of a restaurant to pick up an order of food. On his way out he was approached by police and questioned as to why he left the child in the car. He was ultimately given a ticket for child neglect. He claims he was in and out in less than a minute. He also claims this can be verified by witnesses, including the restaurant owner.
I have a fear that this could snow ball into something bigger, which could lead into the taking away of his children. He is looking for a strong criminal attorney in the VA area. Would this be something you, or someone at your firm, could handle? If not, do you recommend anyone in the area?
