RE: Request from Judge Hale
Matt,
Here is my notice of appearance. Please update me on the status of
negotiations in this case. I can submit dates to modify the PTO but it is
important we have an idea of what the government intends to do. If they are
not going to give a deal, that's fine. But I would like to know that.

Subject: Request from Judge Hale
Good afternoon Haytham,
My apologies for the barrage of e-mail and calls. Jim told me today that he
did retain you as counsel and that he wanted you to represent him. Jim was
worried about going forward with the arraignment because he wanted to make
sure that the dates we set for trial comport with your availability. Jim
waived your appearance and we completed the arraignment because the Govt and
court agree to shift dates as necessary to accommodate your schedule. The
Judge, however, would like your notice of representation and would like you
to review the attached PTO and let the court know what dates do or do not
work. I came up with these dates in anticipation that you may be retained
and so we would have plenty of time until trial. Please advise.
