Defendants do not have “federal” rights. They have constitutional rights or just rights. This is what I emailed you about after my second chop. I recognize that in order to optimize the page we need to ensure that certain words appear but that should not be to the detriment of proper word usage and form. The appeals page is not very useful as it currently reads. It talks about an Act establishing appellate courts. I have not checked that information and frankly don’t know if it’s accurate. Appellate courts are Article III courts. Even if there is an Act, that information is of no use to our clients.
