And, we will give them a shorter date range now that the government has shortened their witness list down from 63. -----Original Message----- From: Mcguire 1stLt Maryann N Sent: Wednesday, July 20, 2011 7:31 To: White Capt Bret A Subject: RE: SSgt Lopez When I talked to the SgtMaj and LtCol to confirm that they are still available for the changed dates they stated that they never talked to the defense and had no idea that they were being requested to testify on SSgt Lopez's behalf. They stated that they would be willing to do so if they were given a shorter date range and that they would not be amenable to being in Quantico from 3-12 August. The SgtMaj said that he will be at a conference and he could probably excuse himself for a day or two but he couldn't miss the entire conference. The LtCol said that she had personal business (I think she stated she was starting school) but that she could probably flex if given a shorter date range. Seeing that you probably don't want to get your own witnesses disgruntled with you, Judge Hale recommended that you discuss the issue with Mr. Faraj and give your witnesses a shorter date range to work with. v/r, Lt McGuire -----Original Message----- From: White Capt Bret A Sent: Tuesday, July 19, 2011 19:40 To: Mcguire 1stLt Maryann N Subject: SSgt Lopez I need to know whatever you alluded to at the 39a today in regards to SgtMaj Vizcarrando and LtCol Jessup.
