RE: Synopsis of the case; U.S. v. Hamama

I would suggest making the following changes (highlighted in red):

The prosecution has charged Mr. Hamama with violating the law by conspiring to act as a foreign agent without notifying the United States Attorney General and with 4 counts of false statements.  Three of the charges of false statements resulted from a document called an SF-86.  The SF-86 is a questionnaire an application people who seek security clearances fill out. The Government is alleging that Mr. Hamama falsely stated that he did not have failed to report contact with foreign individuals or embassies and did not have an interest in a foreign business.  The last charge One of the charges of false statement is from an interview conducted by the FBI of Mr. Hamama When Mr. Hamama is alleged to have falsely stated denied that he had a source relationship with the Iraq Intelligence Service and that he did not receive compensation from the Iraqi government.

These charges are merely allegations and not evidence.  You will have an opportunity to hear the evidence and decide for yourself whether the charges are supported by the evidence.
