Sir,
I would like to be able to do my part in this trial, but currently I have a
conflict with my military responsibilities on the 11th of January.  If at all
possible I would like to be able to complete my part on Monday the 10th and
not have anything carry over into the following day.  If this could be
arranged I would greatly appreciate it.  Thank you.

Gentlemen,

Please be prepared to travel to Detroit this Sunday. I was notified by the
Government today that they expect to wrap their case up by this Friday or
Monday at the latest.  That means that we will start the defense case on
Monday evening at the latest.  You may plan to return home on Tuesday
afternoon.

 

I spoke with the U.S. marshal Service today.  The subpoenas have already been
delivered to the Mississippi office.  They should be coordinating you travel.
