RE: Another update

Sorry, I sent that before I finished, the 3 point was that he wasn't aware of any additional sexual harassment charges coming down.

Her fellow RDCs generally corroborate her story. All the recruits we've spoken to -non accusers- thought she was tough but fair. I'm coming in this Thursday to speak with her.

She also said that she heard that the government was drafting up some new charges in re sexual harassment. I c Her words were that she is "tired and just wants to be done with this." She seemed to be leaning toward saying she could accept NJP, if that were still on the table. I am going to talk to LCDR Clady a little later today and feel out where the government is. Again, Lis seemed to indicate that NJP is off the table, but I suspect we it is probably still an option. Let me know if you hear anything interesting from her RDCs.

There appears to be some serious misconduct by the CMC and some of the other Chiefs at the top. I believe her allegations because the same kind of misconduct took place in Natividad's case. That doesn't mean that I don't think NJP is a good deal, but it makes the Government going forward difficult. If this case goes to trial I will have a reporter from Navy Times in the audience during the portion when we go into the misconduct of the CMC and the command's oppressive tactics. Something doesn't pass the smell test at RTC under this CMC. We have talked to numerous witnesses.

It also contains her record of counseling. I can fax it to you if you want. How are things going with her on your end? I have her coming into my office on Tuesday. I spoke to Lis, and she indicated that they were looking for a summary plea deal. I don't know if you have talked to LCDR Clady and have a different understanding.
