Dearborn native Rima Fakih will have the chance to be the next face of Miss USA- possibly breaking the 17 year dry spell of Miss Michigan ascending to the highly coveted Miss USA spot.

Miss USA 2010 "Watch Party" this Sunday

The first Arab American Miss Michigan, Rima Fakih, will compete for Miss USA at Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas. Join members of the Arab American community as they watch the Miss USA Pageant live at La Pita in Dearborn on Sunday.

6th Annual National
Arab American Service Day

For the sixth year in a row, thousands of volunteers across the nation will come together on Saturday, May 15th to give back to their communities through service projects. You can be a part of this amazing event by joining ACCESS staff, volunteers and AmeriCorps to demolish a blighted house in the Old Redford neighborhood in Detroit, paint a mural, and clean up a park.

Palestine Office 62nd Annual Commemoration of Nakba Event

Join the Palestine Office at the Hyatt Regency in Dearborn as they commemorate the 62nd Nakba of the Palestinian people. Their keynote speaker will be internationally renowned British Journalist and author Alan Hart. The program will include cultural segments emphasizing the right of return and preserving Palestinian identity and heritage.

There will be an Arab American Slam poetry performance & a dabkeh performance as well.

Lebanon Claims Latest Title in Hummus War

Lebanon set a record for the largest plate of hummus Saturday in the continuing gastronomic war over the regional delicacy. The war has played out for years with two sides outdoing each other for the title of world's best or world's largest hummus dish.
