Mr. Hammack, Sorry about the delay. I had a chance to get back to the office late Monday afternoon and review the files. The firm will require 50% of the $9500.00 fee with the signed contract. This will enable Mr. Faraj to begin work on your case as soon as you return the signed contract with 50% of the fee ($4750.00).The law firm requires the remainder of your fee ($4750.00) to be remitted 30 days prior to your BOI hearing date. This allows for full preparation and presentation of your case. Mr. Faraj cannot appear on your behalf at the hearing until the entire fee is paid. Unfortunately, our policies do not allow monthly payments over a long period of time. I apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. Many of our clients have had success with getting a loan from a credit union or a bank in order topay our fees and make payments over time with the lending institution. We appreciate the opportunity to provide outstanding representation and look forward to achieving the best possible outcome for your case. Wife works, he works; Haytham suggested 50% up front, remainder before the BOI; Neal agreed to 5K up front (fee is 9500). Do you all suggest I write back and tell him to get a loan from the credit union or bank for the 50% (or 100%) and send us the fee, which is required prior to working on the case? Neal, does this go down well with clients, or would we chance loosing him? OR, 50% now, and the remainder in monthly payments over the course of 2 or 3 years with interest? Can we (law firm, and PC) charge interest? How would we set that up? Marcy Standing by. You saw my email response that I was in the middle of a project. That will probably last until Tues Morn (EDT). I'm owed several thousand in back pay from the army reserve and they should be coming up with it soon, but I'm concerned that I may not have enough prior to your suspense dates. My credit is excellent. Are there any other possible arrangements? I don't mind paying a couple years worth of reserve drill checks and some interest added on.John Hammack, MEd"Honesty is not so much a credit as an absolute prerequisite to efficient service to the public.
