Marcy,
Pardon the belated reply. I saw Neal's picture on the CBS news on the
Google roundup tonight. I know you guys are very busy - good luck with all
your work.
You doubtless know about the San Diego bar/restaurant near the Convention
Center that was a scene in the Tom Cruise "Top Gun" movie, yes? (If I know
anything considered fashionable, then everyone else already has heard of it,
so this landmark is probably "old hat" to you and Neal.) But if not, look
for it - I was surprised at how small it was.
On the rehearsal schedule, we have only defined that we'll try to work a mix
of Friday's and Sundayss - at the rehearsal on Dec 30 we read thru most of
the Dumbarton House / Colonial Dames assembly of music. At our rehearsal
tomorrow night, Jan 6th, we'll hit these again and do some stopwatch work. .
Parallel, there is a list of supplementary pieces to round out a music-only
program when we are not doing the multi-mode history/music theme. We need
to front-load our work so that we are not scrambling later.
Do you have your horn with you? There are a handful of pieces that may be
worthwhile scanning to send your way.
Thanks,
Ken

Hi. I'm at the war crimes trial of SSgt Frank Wuterich for the month of
January acting as the legal clerk for the defense team. I'm sorry I'll miss
brass choir this month. I'm hoping to resume music upon my return.
Ken, can you please resend me the rehearsal and performance schedule as I
probably missed that Email in the prep for this trial.
Owen, I'll look at measures 19-23 and see if it can be resolved and send it
in time for you to print for tonight's rehearsal.
Thanks everyone! Be watching in the news: Neal, my husband and the primary
defense attorney for Wuterich and it will be in the news. The last Haditha
trial starts 4 Jan.
See in all when I return.
Marcy

Hello All - Hope your New Year's weekend is safe and, at least at the end,
restful!
At our MV Brass reheasal tonight, we read through the binder of pieces
supporting the history/music program to be presented at the April 25th
Colonial Dames program / Dunbarton House.
The MV Brass will rehearse again this coming Friday night, Jan 6th. /
Aldersgate UMC / 7:30. At this rehearsal, we will be reading the pieces /
passages for stopwatch timing, which will help in the scripting of the
program.
Owen has two additional venues interested in having this musical history
walk-thru program presented.
The assembled binder will also largely support a "pure music" program; we
would add three to five additional pieces, including at least one major
program piece, to cover other settings in the months ahead.
See you Friday,
Ken
