Mayor Dave Bing Appoints AACC Executive Director, Fay Beydoun to Detroit Strategic Framework Plan
In an effort to develop a blueprint for Detroit's collective future, Mayor Dave Bing has initiated a task force that includes the American Arab Chamber of Commerce Executive Director, Fay Beydoun. "I am looking forward to working with the diverse committee in developing a strategic framework for the city of Detroit, stated Fay Beydoun. Mayor Bing is to be commended for his vision for the City of Detroit and for providing stakeholders the opportunity to participate."
The Detroit Strategic Framework Plan will be a 12-18 month planning process designed with the goals of:
- Created a shared vision for a future Detroit at the scale of neighborhoods, city and region;
- Addressing near term priorities and actions that affect neighborhood stability such as the elimination of blight, improving public safety, and ensuring opportunities for job creation and retention;
- Creating a framework and strategic direction for coordinating public and private investments throughout the city; and
- Implementing a process for inclusive, transparent and responsive civic engagement and interagency coordination
